Crane Consumables is a local, family-owned manufacturer of bar code, pricing and packaging labels. Our labels can be found on shipped packages, prescription bottles, warehoused parts, pizza boxes and other food packaging, and even on satellites in orbit! Our sales success comes from the strong relationships we have with our distribution channel partners.
A successful Business Development Representative will develop and manage customer relationships, providing quotes and customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Builds relationships with customers to maintain current accounts and acquire new business.
- Gathers pricing and delivery information and prepares quotes in a timely manner. Follows up with customers to obtain business or determine why quote was not accepted.
- Collaborates with various departments including production, shipping, quality and customer service to ensure that orders are fulfilled to customer specifications.
- Reviews information related to customer behavior, sales performance, product pricing and industry trends. Makes recommendations related to product and customer development.
- Develops and implements marketing programs to achieve revenue and profit goals.
- Provides excellent customer service. Works with customers to resolve product, quality and/or shipping issues. Proactively communicates information as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years experience selling products in the barcode label or paper-converting industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to convert analysis into actionable plans.
- Outstanding negotiation skills.
- Demonstrative proficiency with Excel and Google Docs software.
- Less than 10% travel to customer sites.
