Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
- Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
- Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
- Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
- Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
