Join our dedicated team as a Caregiver working overnight shifts from 11pm to 7am! We are looking for part time and full time employees. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, around-the-clock support to residents in a variety of care settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during nighttime hours. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any emergencies or needs.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Take vital signs regularly and document health status accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols with attention to detail and safety.
- Support residents experiencing dementia or Alzheimer’s by implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with mobility challenges.
- Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas, ensuring a hygienic environment conducive to health and comfort.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans for residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship during overnight hours to promote residents’ mental well-being.
- Document incidents, changes in condition, or concerns thoroughly to ensure seamless communication within the care team.
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of ADLs assistance, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and compassion.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for effective documentation and collaboration with team members.
