Overview
We are a multi-practice law firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our attorneys across real estate, estate planning, criminal defense, civil litigation, and personal injury matters. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment. We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient and confident enough to manage cases independently, taking initiative and seeing matters through with minimal supervision. This role is well-suited for a paralegal who is comfortable making day-to-day case decisions, staying ahead of deadlines, and keeping matters moving forward without needing to be closely directed at every step.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, deeds, estate planning documents, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files using our document management system, My Case, to ensure organized and accessible records.
- Support attorneys with project management tasks.
- Manage attorneys' calendars, including scheduling hearings, client meetings, and court appearances.
- Take initiative to stay on top of case files and handling tasks in a timely manner, ensuring proper prioritization and staying cautious of deadlines.
- Manage intake of client information and handle the set-up of case files.
- Maintain professional communication via phone and email etiquette with clients, courts, opposing counsel and internal teams while providing executive administrative support as needed.
- Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
- Assist attorneys with Trial preparations including Jury Selection, Witness Preparation, Discovery Review, ETC.,
Requirements:
- Proven paralegal experience in a law office setting with familiarity across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, real estate, criminal, civil, and personal injury.
- Demonstrated ability to handle document review, legal drafting, proofreading, transcription, and preparation efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrates an ability to learn and adapt to different case types at a fast pace.
- Proficiency in legal administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management systems (Mycase).
- Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.

Education:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or an Associated Field
Preferred Qualities:
- Experience working with Real Estate Closings or Deed Preparation.
- Experience working with Microsoft Outlook
- Experience as a Paralegal/ Legal Assistant
- Self-Sufficiency
