Fleet Maintenance Manager
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the repair, maintenance, and operational performance of our company’s fleet and maintenance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day maintenance operations, supervising personnel, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring the fleet remains safe, compliant, and operating at maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, maintain excellent vendor and customer relationships, and deliver regular reporting on maintenance activities, fleet performance, and project status to company leadership.
Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Lead, supervise, and support maintenance personnel and fleet operations staff.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventative maintenance programs to maximize fleet uptime and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and vendor relationships with external service providers.
- Monitor fleet operations to ensure compliance with federal regulations, DOT requirements, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, inspections, maintenance history, and compliance documentation.
- Track vehicle performance, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate repair cost-effectiveness and make budget-conscious maintenance decisions.
- Manage maintenance projects and provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership.
- Ensure invoicing, pricing, and repair timelines are met as expected.
- Maintain a high level of service and communication with drivers, vendors, customers, and internal departments.
- Develop and enforce company maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives related to fleet maintenance operations.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork throughout the department.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Fleet Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, preventative maintenance programs, and fleet compliance requirements.
- Experience managing vendors, maintenance schedules, and repair budgets.
- Computer applications including MS Office, Samsara, and McLeod Enterprise preferred.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain thorough records and reporting.
- Experience leading teams and driving operational improvements preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
