Position Summary:
The Outpatient Psychologist organizes, plans, and conducts rehabilitative psychological and/or neuropsychological consultations, evaluations, and treatment approaches for individuals with central nervous system dysfunction.

Position Requirements:
- Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Board Certification (Diplomate)through the American Board of Professional Psychology in Rehabilitation Psychology, Health Psychology, Neuropsychology, or Clinical Psychology preferable.
- Education: Completion of Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD) in psychology; completion of academic course work in psychological assessment; completion of specialty training in rehabilitation psychology and/or neuropsychology through supervised placements, internships and/or fellowships.
- Experience: Completion of at least one year post-doctoral training in psychology; additional experience in rehabilitation preferred.
- Skills & Abilities: Skilled in the ability to conceptualize and pragmatically apply rehabilitation psychology treatment plans, in coordination with multidisciplinary team members. Ability to determine the time, place, and sequence of operations or action to be taken on the basis of analysis of data; executing determinations and/or reporting on events. Skilled in dealing with individuals in terms of their total personality in order to advise, counsel, and/or guide them with regard to problems that may be resolved by clinical or other professional principles.
Essential Functions:
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy.
- Provide family education and counseling.
- Consult with physicians and other staff members to develop psychological and behavioral treatment approaches for individuals with neurological problems.
- Perform psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for individuals with neurological problems based on referral questions, extent of injury, medical and psychological history, and clinical presentation.
- Conceptualize psychological and behavioral interventions for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and adapts the plan of treatment as needed.
- Consult with and provide support to the interdisciplinary team regarding effective team functioning, collaborative goal-setting, and conflict resolution.
