Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the OpenTable system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
- Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service.
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and sanitation standards to maintain a clean work environment.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using basic math skills.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or guest services role is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills for accurate order processing and payment handling.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while providing exceptional customer service.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining health standards in the kitchen.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well under pressure are key attributes for success in this role.
