Duties
- Greet guests with genuine warmth and enthusiasm as they arrive, making them feel valued and comfortable.
- Manage reservations and walk-in seating efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize table turnover.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of service.
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area, ensuring guest comfort at all times.
- Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism, providing accurate information about menus and wait times.
- Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly to enhance guest relations and satisfaction.
- Support overall restaurant operations by assisting with guest services, managing waitlists, and ensuring excellent hospitality standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries professionally.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotel services, serving, or guest services is a plus.
