What You’ll Do and How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide outstanding customer service in the retail store and outdoor yard by greeting customers, helping them locate products, answering questions, and offering knowledgeable product recommendations
- Safely and efficiently load customer purchases into vehicles
- Keep the indoor and outdoor yard fully stocked with material, organized, and easy to navigate so customers and team members can quickly find what they need
- Maintain a clean and orderly yard, including regular sweeping, debris removal, and ensuring materials are neatly stacked and stored
- Keep up with training and learn about products and safety rules
- Assist in other departments/functions as needed to provide great customer service
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management to help the team run smoothly
- Follow safety rules, keep the work area clean and help make sure everyone stays safe
- Assist with inventory-related tasks, including performing cycle counts, verifying stock levels and maintaining accurate records
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management
What Makes You a Great Fit
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with construction or building materials is helpful but not required
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers effectively
- Physical ability to lift, climb, reach, twist, bend, and lift up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, staying flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work in various temperatures and outdoor conditions
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
- A results-driven attitude with a commitment to delivering great service
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work hard as part of a team
