Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct custom cabinets.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Fabricate cabinet parts through woodworking techniques such as framing, trimming, and finishing.
- Install cabinets securely on-site, ensuring proper alignment, levelness, and functionality.
- Perform related tasks including door hanging, fixture installation, caulking, and finishing touches to ensure a polished final product.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for efficient fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites.
Skills
- Extensive experience in carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, framing, metal stud framing, and drywall finishing.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders) essential for precise fabrication.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes for material procurement and project planning.
- Familiarity with woodworking techniques such as cabinetry fabrication, door hanging, and fixture installation.
- Experience with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and mold remediation is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and bending during installation.
- Understanding of electrical experience related to fixture wiring or integrated lighting is advantageous.
