Craftsmen Contractors is seeking a Skilled Laborer with some carpentry and forklift operating experience for the River Ridge, La. area. This is for a commercial construction project working day shifts, Monday through Friday.
Pay is $18/hour.
Weekly pay by direct deposit.
Job Duties:
- Perform basic construction, maintenance, and repair work
- Follow established safety rules and regulations
- Set up and breakdown of work areas
- Perform general clean-up and other assigned duties
- Operate power and hand tools
- Assist Carpenters by preparing job sites
- Measure and cut materials
- Hold structural components in place
- Load and unload materials
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods.
- Follow safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Check that loads are centered and properly stacked.
- Maintains a clean work area
Job Requirements:
- Will need to have a minimum of 1 year of experience with forklift operating, carpentry, and working in construction.
- Have all PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hard hat, safety vest, and safety gloves).
- Reliable transportation to make it to the job site
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations.
- Will need some basic hand tools for the job.
