The Sewing Machine Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial sewing machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair:
Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing sewing machines, including both mechanical and electrical components.
- Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving technical problems with sewing machines, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
- Calibration and Adjustments:
Calibrating machines to ensure optimal performance and adjusting machine settings based on specific needs.
- Parts Replacement:
Ordering and replacing worn or broken parts, working with manufacturers or suppliers as needed.
- Training and Support:
Providing guidance and training to sewing machine operators on proper machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts usage.
- Safety Compliance:
Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with sewing machines.
