Position: Warehouse Management System (WMS) Specialist
Reports to: Shipping Director
Level: Specialist
The WMS Specialist will support our growing business and streamline operations. This unique role combines activities and responsibilities in the areas of both Business Application Support and Technical Warehouse Management System Support. Under direction of both the Shipping Director and the IT Director, the Warehouse Management System Specialist will deliver first line support to WMS users. While managing daily support tasks, issues will be evaluated and managed directly by the WMS Specialist or escalated and managed to conclusion by collaborating with the company’s IT specialist support resources. As this role has a wide range of responsibilities, it is the ideal opportunity for someone to demonstrate a broad range of WMS and IT related skills.
Responsibilities
Business Application Support
- Development, integration, and implementation of new Warehouse Management System between ShipHawk and CraftMark
- New user setup and maintenance of ShipHawk WMS system
- Perform new user inductions on the basic training and use of equipment / software:
- Perform daily WMS system monitoring and maintenance tasks
- Provide first line support for general / basic user questions and issues relating WMS Software and Hardware.
- Effective issue list tracking and manage those issues to resolution.
- Training will be provided to develop skills and experience within NetSuite and ShipHawk to support a wide range of business areas.
- Assist with business process testing in preparation for regular ShipHawk system upgrades.
- Opportunities to participate (and develop skills) in various projects relating to business application software.
- Crown Infolink management
- Manage and maintain forklift battery and charging systems
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical WMS Support
- Provide first line support for general / basic user questions and issues relating to WMS Infrastructure
- Deliver on-site support for basic IT ‘Infrastructure’ tasks:
- Ordering and setup of new equipment
- Act as on-site resource who performs various on-site duties as directed by the external WMS Infrastructure specialist company
- Perform basic setup and maintenance of ShipHawk WMS application.
- Function as the key communication point to all users for system issues and system changes.
- Work with and help manage agreements with other sub-contractors partnered with WMS, IT, Infolink, hardware suppliers, printing services, etc.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Evidence of a strong aptitude in WMS related skills / work (software or hardware)
- Experience with Crown Infolink systems
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Computer literate with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge / understanding in the use and system navigation of WMS applications.
- Basic knowledge of IT networking components and tools
- Business software application experience using ERP systems (preferably NetSuite / SAP) is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and a manufacturing facility with the need to spend time supporting WMS systems within the quality, manufacturing, IT, and warehouse departments.
