What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Mixer position at Crafted Plastics Inc?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Read work order and follow instructions to determine
which material or containers need to be moved. Convey material from
storage or work site to designated areas by hand truck or forklift.
Count, weigh, and record number of units of material moved or handled on
material charge sheet. Maintains accurate daily inventory through
charging in and out all materials needed for each job. Clean hopper of
raw material from last run. From shop order, determine type and quantity
of material needed, such as; virgin, regrind or color concentrate.
Determine if materials require drying; if it does, place drying cone in
dryer, pour in materials needed, set temperature and timer. Place virgin
material from gaylord into 55-gallon drum weighing out 200 pounds at a
time to ensure actual weight from gaylord, and charge out material 200
pounds at a time weighed. Place raw materials in 55gallon drum and
transfer to tumbler by hand truck. When mixing is done, convey the mixed
material from drum to hopper using material pail. Place material in
storage area for easy retrieval, accurately adjusting inventory records.
Maintains cleanliness of work area\'s such as: mezzanine, hoppers and
material warehouse. Avoid cross contamination of material and observe
all safety procedures. Clean grinders and grind scrap from jobs. Assist
and train operators and packers on the cleaning of grinders. Assist
operators and packers in determining what can be ground and in what
grinder. Assist machine operators on a daily basis and help with daily
functions. Collaborate with day/night shift material handlers in daily
preparations. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: To perform
this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
