Pizza Cook - Taproom Kitchen

Crafted Mead is looking for a Pizza Cook to join our team! We've been recognized as the "coolest tasting room in Northeast Ohio" by the Cleveland Plain Dealer and we think we're a pretty great place to work at too! We do things differently at Crafted! The Crafted Kitchen is open Wednesday through Sunday. The ideal candidate must have availability for various evenings during the week including daytime on Saturday and Sunday. Rotating weekend availability is required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday...not ALL of those days but a few of them each week). Again, candidates are not expected to work ALL if these days each week, but must have rotating availability during these days if needed.

Tired of late nights?! The Crafted Kitchen closes at 9PM through the week and at 10PM on weekends so you can kiss goodbye to those late night kitchen shifts. We offer very competitive pay based on your experience. Plus our kitchen team is part of our tip pool which means you are in on the cut when we kick butt...which we kick butt ALL the time. Duties:

-Preparing and cooking pizza, and other menu items, to specifications in a timely and efficient manner

-Interacting with customers via phone to take to go orders, answer questions regarding menu items, and up-sell when possible

-Maintaining a clean working environment and safely handling foods, to uphold food safety standards and avoid cross contamination.

-Ability to use a variety of kitchen equipment safely, including but not limited to, a pizza oven, dough mixer, and slicer.

-Complete all opening and closing duties according to policy

Requirements:

-Prior kitchen/BOH experience preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate!

-Basic math/measurement skills needed for portioning ingredients

-Ability to follow standardized recipes for consistent quality and service

-Ability to be punctual and work in a fast paced environment

-Reliable transportation to and from work

-Ability to stay organized and multitask

-Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with guests, teammates, and management in an effective manner

-Ability to stand during shift as well as bend, reach, lift and carry up to 50lbs

We produce internationally award-winning mead that is sold in bars, restaurants and by retailers around the country. With the opening of our new production facility and taproom we have a ton more room to spread our wings! We have so much room for activities...including more production, a growing distributor network and a kick-butt taproom where we offer a fun and relaxing environment for guests to gather and enjoy our mead alongside some absolutely stellar pizza.
