Area Sales Manager – Oregon
Location: Oregon (Portland Metro Preferred) – Remote / Hybrid
Territory: State of Oregon
Travel: 50 - 75% in-market
Salary Range: $72,000 - $85,000 Bonus & Benefits
Reports To: Sales Director
About the Role
The Area Sales Manager – Oregon will own CRAFT’s most visible and strategically important market — our backyard.
This role carries elevated expectations for brand representation, customer engagement, and market leadership. The ASM will be highly present in-market (50 - 75%), building strong relationships across Oregon’s beverage ecosystem including craft beer, wine, RTD, functional beverages, and emerging brands.
This is a high-accountability, high-visibility role responsible for driving disciplined growth within a concentrated but strategically critical territory.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Ownership & Growth
- Develop and execute a focused Oregon growth strategy
- Expand share within existing accounts
- Identify and close new beverage brands across all verticals
- Build strong relationships with co-packers and industry partners
- Represent CRAFT at local industry events and associations
Sales Execution & Financial Discipline
- Maintain accurate CRM pipeline management
- Forecast territory revenue with precision
- Apply trade math and margin discipline in pricing discussions
- Negotiate commercial agreements
- Conduct proactive cold calling and outreach
Brand Leadership in Backyard Market
- Serve as a visible ambassador of CRAFT in Oregon
- Maintain strong executive-level customer relationships
- Provide competitive intelligence and market insights
- Elevate CRAFT’s local presence and reputation
Qualifications
- 3–5 years CPG sales experience (beverage strongly preferred)
- Existing Oregon beverage network highly preferred
- Strong understanding of trade math and margin fundamentals
- CRM/ERP proficiency and comfort with reporting systems
- Strong communication skills (phone and in-person)
- Comfortable with cold calling and active prospecting
- Reliable vehicle and clean driving record
