Job Description:
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, copper nickel, and inconel using TIG in 6G and 6GR positions.
- Heat oxygen/propane heating torch.
- Perform grinding and pick up work as needed.
- Properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and six-inch scale.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities including the correct welding processes required and the effects of welding on the material.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of naval or industrial pipe welding experience.
- Experience using consumable rings.
- Successfully complete testing requirements.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Familiar with OSHA regulations and be committed to safety.
- Pass drug test and background check.
- Comfortable with heights and in confined spaces.
- Lift 50lbs without assistance.
- Must understand the layout of the ship and compartment identification or be willing to learn.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
