We partner with businesses as well as jobseekers to place individuals into positions efficiently. Currently, we are reviewing resumes for 1st Class Pipefitters in the Belle Chase, LA.
Job Description:
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and project specifications.
- Measure, cut, bevel, thread, and fit carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and other piping materials.
- Assemble and install piping systems using hand and power tools.
- Lay out piping systems according to project drawings and specifications.
- Install valves, pumps, flanges, fittings, supports, and related equipment.
- Perform pipe alignment, bolt-up, and hydrostatic pressure testing.
- Work with welders to ensure proper fit-up and joint preparation.
- Inspect piping systems for leaks, defects, and code compliance.
- Repair, replace, or modify existing piping systems.
- Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other material handling equipment as authorized.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and client-specific safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 3 years of industrial pipefitting experience (or equivalent apprenticeship).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and isometric drawings.
- Knowledge of pipe fabrication, installation techniques, and industry standards.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, beveling machines, and measuring equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
