Duties

• Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and creativity
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom or daycare setting in accordance with health and safety standards
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately
• Administer basic first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary to address minor injuries or emergencies
• Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar environments
• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred)
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs through experience in special education or related fields
• Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and children
• Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
