Responsibilities
- Install new residential plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and appliances according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components securely
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation
- Collaborate with construction teams on remodeling projects or new builds to coordinate plumbing work seamlessly
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning during installations
- Follow all safety guidelines related to construction site experience, HVAC integration, and heavy machinery operation
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for each project
- Assist with other maintenance person tasks such as carpentry or minor remodeling projects as needed
- Drive company vehicles when required for material transport or site visits
Skills
- Proven experience in construction plumbing and general construction work
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, schematics, and blueprint reading
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other construction tools
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and pipe installation techniques
