Crabtree Dispensary is a new dispensary opening in Kensington, Maryland. The Budtender at Crabtree Dispensary is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience. Budtenders report to the General Manager (GM). The tentative start date is February 9, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent and compassionate patient services, including customer reception, taking orders, picking and packing, and processing customer payment
- Educate customers on products and dosage
- Support opening and closing of store, fulfillment of online orders, inventory intake, and cycle counts
- Provide input into menu and promotions
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- At least two years in a customer service retail setting, specifically with POS (Dutchie preferred) business operations
- Cannabis experience preferred
- Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends) to meet business needs
- Must have reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must possess a valid driver’s license or state ID
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
- Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Crabtree Dispensary
- Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
Skills
- Must be proactive, with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong communication and leadership skills
- Continuously open to constructive, developmental feedback, ability to maintain composure even in difficult situations
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information and complying with HIPPA requirements
- Ability to resolve conflict, handle employee and customer complaints, and settle disputes

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
