Host/Hostess

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and provide them with an engaging first impression.
• Manage the seating chart and ensure that tables are assigned efficiently to optimize service flow.
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the menu and services offered.
• Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems to manage bookings and track guest preferences.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area, including waiting areas and menus.
• Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure smooth communication regarding guest needs and table readiness.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
