Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dependable FOH (Front of House) Key Holder that will work at two of our locations! The Goat West Virginia Pub and Dockside Grille. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a trusted leader on the floor, ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting staff to create a welcoming and efficient environment. As a key holder, you will be responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, managing shift activities, and upholding our high standards of food safety and hospitality. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire team members and enhance the overall guest experience. As a keyholder you will also be trained and able to work serving and or bartendering shifts depending on your expereince!
Responsibilities
- Open and close the restaurant confidently, ensuring all safety and security protocols are followed
- Supervise daily front-of-house operations, including customer service, food presentation, and cleanliness standards
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Oversee inventory control to ensure proper stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies
- Train new staff members on service procedures, food safety protocols, and restaurant policies
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Support management with shift management duties including scheduling, team coordination, and performance monitoring
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management within quick service or fast food restaurants; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Hands-on experience with POS systems - TOAST
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with previous team management or training responsibilities
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor - HOSPITALITY IS EVERYTHING
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and food industry regulations
- Previous experience in hospitality management or restaurant management preferred
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
