What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook — The Crab & Catfish Co. (Tulsa) position at Crab and Catfish Co?
Line Cook — The Crab & Catfish Co. (Tulsa)
6921 S Lewis Ave, Tulsa, OK 74136
Most of our menu is cooked to order — seafood boils, fried plates, sandwiches, and other made-to-order items.
This is not a one-station kitchen.
A single ticket may have you working across the seafood boil pots, fryers, and other areas of the line. You’ll need to read tickets, manage multiple cook times, follow each item’s build, and coordinate everything so the full order comes out accurate and together.
Our Tulsa location is open until 2:00 AM, and closing shifts run later. We need cooks who can maintain the same urgency and standards at the end of the night as they do at the beginning.
What You'll Do
- Work across the boil pots, fryers, and sandwich/assembly area
- Read tickets and manage multiple cook times at once
- Follow recipes, portions, cook times, and plate-building steps
- Keep the line stocked and ready
- Complete daily prep, cleaning, and operational tasks
- Follow kitchen checklists and procedures
- Complete closing responsibilities fully and correctly
You'll Do Well Here If You
- Have previous kitchen or line cook experience
- Can multitask without losing accuracy
- Move with urgency without becoming careless
- Can follow recipes, systems, and checklists
- Stay on task without constant supervision
- Take ownership of the entire order
- Stay focused and productive during late-night shifts
- Understand that cooking, prep, stocking, cleaning, and closing are all part of the job
Schedule
- Late-night and closing shifts required
- Weekend availability required
- Holiday availability may be required
- Great fit for someone who prefers nights or needs evening hours around another commitment
Pay
Starting pay: $14/hour
Raises are earned through reliability, skill, consistency, and performance.
Before You Apply
You must:
- Have previous kitchen experience
- Be comfortable working across the full line
- Be able to follow cook times, recipes, and plate-building procedures
- Be available for late-night closing shifts and weekends
- Be willing to complete prep, stocking, cleaning, and closing responsibilities
If you're looking to stay at one station all night, this probably isn't the right kitchen.
If you can work the full line, manage your timing, follow systems, and take ownership of getting the order out right, we'd like to hear from you.
