Visiting Clubhouse Bat Person
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist Clubhouse Manager in the daily functioning of the Visiting Clubhouse. Including pre-game, during the game on-field, and post-game. Able to commit to all 81 home games and 26 team unpacks for the 2026 season at Coors Field.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre-Game
- Prepare the dugout with all necessary equipment for batting practice and the game
- Clean helmets/catchers gear and set up helmet rack
- Work the bucket for batting practice
- Replenish gum, seeds, Powerade, and water 30 min before game
- Keep gameday storage room organized and clean
- Assist Clubhouse Manager with any other assigned tasks
During the Game
- Professional appearance in visiting uniform
- Retrieve bats, balls and personal gear for visiting team players
- Keep dugout clean and check stock of items on bench such as cups, water, gum, and seeds
- Put out/take away on-deck bag throughout game
Post Game
- Breakdown, clean up, and store all items from dugout in a timely manner
- Clean catchers gear and player/coaches’ shoes
- Assist with hanging clean uniforms and laundry
- Restock coaches, players and auxiliary bathrooms with toiletries
- When needed, assist with packing bats, helmets and catcher’s gear for getaway day
- Laundry and uniform cleaning
- Assist with equipment needs for players and coaches
- Organizing and restocking food and beverage stations
- Towel folding and amenities set up
- Help maintain a clean and organized atmosphere
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Available to work non-traditional hours, anywhere from 8-15 hours per day, typically done 2.5 hours post game
- Ability to process information on the fly and make quick decisions
- Professionalism in handling confidential matters
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize matters is a must
- Experience interacting with professional athletes is a plus
- Being able to work as part of a team
- Respectful of co-workers, Players, Coaches, Manager and Executives
- Must have reliable mode of transportation
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:
- Work scope requires running, bending, stooping, carrying, climbing, ladders and stairs
- Must be able to work flexible hours and game day hours due to the type of organization that employs this position
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds routinely
- Regular exposure to all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat.
- Hours may vary due to project requirements such as special game day duties, special event schedules, season preparation, etc.
- Advance notice will be given for schedule changes whenever possible
- Locker room setting with physical operations
- Capable of moving large, awkward, and irregular sized equipment
- Seasonal hourly position. Irregular hours, nights, weekend and holiday availability
COMPENSATION RANGE:
- $ 19.29 per hour.
- This is a temporary, part-time position that is not eligible for company health and welfare benefits.
