Position Overview
Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (CA-CIB), a worldwide leader in aircraft and rail financing with numerous industry awards over the past 15 years, is seeking an experienced Structured Finance Vice President for its Transportation Group within the Energy and Real Assets Division in the Americas. This team specializes in originating Capital Market solutions, creating/distributing/booking tailor-made financing solutions for airlines, lessors, and rail companies across North and Latin America.
The candidate will join a dynamic, collaborative team and interact regularly with the Relationship Managers and other team members (Associates and Analysts) and the Portfolio Manager, as well as with cross-functional stakeholders including external counsel and various product groups within the bank.
As part of the Transportation Group, the candidate will contribute to a market-leading practice with an established reputation for excellence in structured finance solutions across the Americas region.
On a punctual basis and depending on workload, the candidate will be brought to give support to other Energy and Real Assets Business Lines, particularly the ones dealing with mobile assets (Shipping and Intermodal).
Key Responsibilities
Financing Transaction Leadership:
- Lead execution of mandates on structured & corporate financing focused on aviation and rail sectors
- Formulate and submit financing proposals under the Relationship Managers’ supervision
- Represent the bank in documentation and closing of transactions
- Manage multiple mandates simultaneously, delegating to junior resources & reviewing tasks as necessary
Credit Management:
- Process internal credit approvals for new transactions including closely overseeing quality of credit applications prepared by Associates and Analysts
- Respond to credit risk department’s questions and present to credit committee
- Supervise Associates and Analysts to ensure financial models and credit analysis are robust and accurate
Client Relationship Support:
- Actively support Relationship Managers on initiating & coordinating multi-product coverage initiatives
- Leverage sector expertise to identify cross-selling opportunities
- Collaborate across departments to deliver comprehensive client solutions
Corporate Finance Origination:
- Contribute to Event Driven Transactions origination
- Contribute to Advisory / M&A pitches with other Business Lines
Key Competencies
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
- Strong execution track record in transportation finance mandates strongly preferred but strong structured finance background, and lending documentation experience will qualify
- Highly experienced in corporate & cash flow financial modelling with thorough understanding of financial statements and attention to detail. Able to supervise and coach Associates and Analysts
- Results-oriented with focus on high-quality deliverables

SPECIAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in corporate credit analysis and financial modeling
- Proactive disposition with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, credit and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Fluency in English
Desirable
- Knowledge of the internal organization and systems of the bank
- Previous experience in transportation finance
- MBA advantageous but not required
Salary : $150,000 - $185,000
