Job Responsibilities And Qualifications
- Claims submission; both electronic claims submission and manual
- Contact insurance companies regarding denied claims
- Contact insurance companies and patients with questions related to billing
- Answer billing inquiries from patients, staff and insurance companies and resolve complaints
- Send appeals to insurance companies with appropriate documentation
- Accounts receivable aging review
- Manage assigned workflows to include follow up on status of claims, denials and appeals for timely receipt of payment.
- Assisting with patient scheduling and confirming appointments
- Assisting with insurance verifications and prior authorizations.
- Extensive customer service utilizing email, phone calls, and in-person interactions
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CPT, ICD9 and ICD10
- Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance carrier rules
- Minimum of 1 year of Billing and Accounts Receivable experience
