Seeking a full-time, Assistant Teaching Professor of English with concentrations in Composition and Professional Writing Position Accountabilities Position located at Park’s main campus in Parkville, MO just outside Kansas City, MO. Teach first-year writing classes as well as upper-level professional writing courses in the English major Contribute to curriculum planning and design Maintain a standard teaching load of 4/4 with a mix of face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes Potential for an applicant with the right experience to eventually coordinate first-year writing and English programs (Additional administrative duties come with appropriate release time) Participate in scholarship and engage in service to the program and Park University Position Requirements: Ph.D. from an accredited institution of higher education in rhetoric and composition or professional and technical writing is preferred Evidence of successful teaching of first-year writing courses, professional or technical writing Desired Qualifications: Experience with teaching and designing online courses Experience working with diverse student populations Experience in writing program administration Deadline for applications is January 31, 2026.
