IT Procurement Intern (Summer 2027)

What You Will Do

• Support the sourcing, contracting, and renewal activities for software, SaaS, IT services, and AI technology suppliers.
• Assist with supplier onboarding, purchase requisitions, purchase order creation, invoice payment assurance and procurement process compliance activities.
• Coordinate with Legal, IT Security, Data Privacy, Finance, Risk Management and business stakeholders to facilitate supplier reviews and contract approvals.
• Conduct market research, spend analysis, and supplier benchmarking to support strategic sourcing and cost optimization initiatives. Be proficient in using CoPilot for research efforts.

How You Will Do It

• Analyze supplier proposals, pricing, contract terms, and licensing models to identify risks, savings opportunities, and commercial recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, track project milestones, and ensure timely completion of procurement deliverables.
• Maintain procurement records, contract documentation, supplier data, and reporting metrics using enterprise procurement and contract management systems.
• Apply strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality support to internal customers and suppliers.

What We Look For

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Systems Management, Data Analytics, and/or related field.
• Ability to be in the greater Milwaukee area in the summer.
• Duration: Summer 2027. Up to 40 hours per week.
• Working Arrangements: Hybrid internship - must have a quiet workspace away from interruptions, with the option to work in the office. Be able to maintain regular contact with the supervisor/team via virtual methods.
