Pharmacy Intern- Per Diem

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to perform a variety of technician and pharmacist duties while in training to become proficient in general pharmacy practices, procedures, and etiquette. You will perform drug inventory and delivery services, as directed.
Schedule: This position does not have any regularly scheduled shifts and will work as needed.
Starting Pay: $20 per hour
About the Facility: Brentwood Hospital is a 200-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility that offers psychiatric services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy utilizes centralized pharmacy utilizes HCS, ePharmacy, and Pyxis automatic dispensing systems. The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm and weekends from 8am-2pm.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
- Louisiana Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
