Position Summary
CPS Infusion is seeking a skilled, motivated Infusion Nurse to join our growing clinical team across multiple sites of care in Georgia. This is a high-impact, patient-facing role at the center of everything we do. The Infusion Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality infusion therapy to patients managing complex chronic conditions — including autoimmune diseases, inflammatory conditions, and rare diagnoses — in a setting designed to feel more like a private clinic than a hospital. This role involves administering biologic and specialty infusions, monitoring patients throughout the treatment process, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and serving as a trusted point of contact for patients and their care teams. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Administer IV infusions, injections, and related therapies according to established protocols.
- Monitor patients for infusion reactions or side effects and respond appropriately.
- Perform patient assessments and vital sign monitoring before, during, and after treatment.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure infusion equipment and supplies are properly managed.
- Educate patients on therapy, side effects, and home care instructions.
- Collaborate with prescribing providers and pharmacy staff to coordinate care.
Administrative Duties:
- Document all treatments and patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Review and verify infusion orders and pre-treatment labs.
- Communicate with referring offices, insurance coordinators, and scheduling staff to support patient flow.
- Participate in staff meetings, clinical check-ins, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with inventory management and ensure compliance with all safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current RN/LPN license in Georgia.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; infusion, peri-op, ICU, or ER preferred
- Proficiency in peripheral IV placement
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple care sites.
Work Schedule
- Part-time, approximately 3 days per week or 12 days per month, with flexibility based on site coverage needs.
