Sr. Chemist – Inkjet
The Senior Chemist – Inkjet position is an external customer-facing position that is responsible for formulating new and improving existing inkjet products. This position will work closely and support the Sales and Technical Team. This position will communicate extensively within the company’s inkjet global community.

Technical Qualifications:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Must have Ink Jet experience – Understanding of Inkjet printing processes, print applications and developing ink jet inks.
- Research & development of new products.
- Improvement to present product formulations.
- Industrialization and onshoring of products developed and manufactured at foreign company ink entities.
- Assistance to GM in the management inkjet product portfolio.
- Assistance to the purchasing team to control costs and develop forecasts.
- Provide support to local manufacturing and quality control.
- Technical service, troubleshooting and product recommendations.
- Working with customers and the print service team on new product trials.
- Work with suppliers in the selection of appropriate raw materials.
- Selecting, calibrating, installing, and maintaining lab equipment.
- Entering and maintaining formulations in relevant ERP systems.
- Communicate and maintain a record of testing; provide updates to sales, as necessary.
- Assist or train the quality control department if needed.
- Follow all work site rules for safety, waste, and chemical handling.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work bench and lab work area.
- Other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry
- 5 plus years of experience in inkjet
- Ability to develop inkjet inks
- Ability to develop coating products without guidance
- Understanding of inkjet printing processes and print application
- Understands substrates and their functions
- Familiar with multiple suppliers and raw materials to properly formulate products
- Proficient with Windows based software, including databases
- Demonstrated ability to work with hazardous chemicals
- Good verbal and written report skills for internal and external communication
- Organized and detail oriented
- A self-starter capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment
