- Lead and manage product development initiatives from concept through commercialization, with strong emphasis on manufacturing processes
- Facilitate the successful transfer of technical knowledge to the Operations team following commercialization
- Design and implement research programs focused on cost optimization
- Identify technical challenges and lead cross-functional investigations to determine root causes
- Partner closely with Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams during commercialization efforts
- Establish and recommend product specifications and quality standards for both new and existing products
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Procurement, Marketing, Project Management, Sales, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations
- Serve as a technical leader within the organization and for external clients
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting priorities as business needs evolve
- Mentor, guide, and oversee the work of other scientists on the team
- Perform additional duties as assigned
