- Provides technical support for both internal business units and external customer.
- Creates technical documentation, reports, formal letters and emails, and presentations.
- Directly assists production operations with problems that could stall production, delay customer order, or result in non-conforming product.
- Formulate new products and maintains existing products. Evaluates new raw materials and potential vendors.
- Develops, facilitates, and executes research and development activities including but not limited to formula entry and creating SDS.
- Ensures compliance to quality standards; assist in quality control when necessary.
- Develop production procedures for new products or formula modifications.
- Formulate various coating systems and set up production procedures.
- Effectively interacts with customers, internal sales, and suppliers.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Technical Director.

Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in physical sciences from four-year college or university.
- Two to 5 years’ experience with alkyd, 2 component epoxy and urethane coatings.
- Proficient on database software, development software, inventory, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Experience in scaling up paint products from the lab to manufacturing.
