Main Duties & Responsibilities (Simplified)
- Ensure day-to-day compliance with SOA/MIOSHA and EPA requirements at the facility as well as providing remote EHS support.
- Maintain and update safety programs including HazCom, LOTO, Emergency Action Plan, Fire Prevention, and PPE.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
- Manage RCRA hazardous waste labeling, storage, inspections, and documentation.
- Assist with regulatory reporting: OSHA logs, EPCRA Tier II, RCRA Biennial Report.
- Maintain SDS database and chemical hazard communication systems.
- Conduct or coordinate EHS training for employees and new hires.
- Support incident reporting, investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Maintain EHS documentation, compliance records, and safety logs.
- Track and report EHS KPIs (injuries, near misses, waste, training performance).
- Assist with emergency preparedness activities and maintain emergency response equipment.
- Provide safety guidance to supervisors and employees; help reinforce a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate with corporate EHS on global programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, waste providers, and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Travel occasionally for audits, training, or investigations.

Minimum Qualifications
Education & Skills Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field.
- 2-5 years of EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of:
- OSHA & MIOSHA regulations
- Hazard Communication (HCS/GHS)
- RCRA hazardous waste
- Basic environmental compliance (EPA)
- Experience conducting inspections, incident investigations, and delivering safety training.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and interact effectively with operators and supervisors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
