We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Defined Benefit Relationship Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of defined benefit (DB) plan sponsors. This individual will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing plan administration activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver outstanding service.

This individual will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing plan administration activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between plan sponsors and internal actuarial/administration teams.
- Develop and maintain strong, consultative relationships with DB plan clients.
- Coordinate the delivery of actuarial valuations, government filings (e.g., Form 5500, Schedule SB), and benefit calculations.
- Review and interpret plan documents, amendments, and compliance requirements to ensure proper plan operations.
- Lead annual client meetings to review funding status, contribution strategies, and long-term plan objectives.
- Monitor project timelines, ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Proactively identify and address client issues or concerns, escalating as necessary.
- Stay up to date with legislative, regulatory, and industry developments impacting DB plans.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, actuarial, and operations teams to support client needs and business objectives.
- Assist in onboarding new clients and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in defined benefit plan administration or consulting, including client-facing experience.
- Solid understanding of ERISA, IRS, and PBGC regulations.
- Experience with defined benefit plan funding and compliance reporting.
- Exceptional communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with pension administration software and tools (e.g., ProVal, ASC, or similar).
- ASPPA or EA designation a plus, but not required.
