Position Summary
Performs a variety of duties related to planning, coordinating and obtaining the acquisition of electric and gas easements / permits and encroachments required for the installation and maintenance of overhead and underground electric distribution systems, gas distribution systems, electric transmission lines and purchases fee property for substation sites along with other associated work.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Handles acquisition negotiations, legal compliance issues, monitoring adjustment of utilities, and assisting with project planning necessary for organization equipment.
- Performs administrative tasks and public record researches to complete and prepare forms and legal documents.
- Negotiates with customers for private property rights.
- Coordinates with internal departments, contractors, property owners, and attorneys to obtain easements and regular maintenance of our electric and gas facilities.
- Travels to surrounding County courthouses to research properties outside of Bexar County, but within the CPS Energy service territory (Wilson, Atascosa, Medina, Kendall, Comal and Guadalupe Counties).
- Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure right of way goals are met
- Maintain technical skills through independent research, training and/or conferences.
- Performs other project and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

- Proficient in SAP, WMIS, GAIN, GIS, Bexar County records.
- Relative experience in supporting utility construction & maintenance.
