CPS Commercial Property Services Inc. (CPS) is looking for an experienced candidate to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of Material Runner while supporting the buildout division as needed. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects have the necessary materials and supplies at the right place and time. Their responsibilities involve managing the flow of materials from suppliers to construction sites, keeping track of inventory, and coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth operations. They work closely with the President of Construction, suppliers, and construction teams to ensure a seamless flow of materials to the construction site.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
1. Material Procurement
- Collaborate with construction teams to determine material requirements for each project phase.
- Place orders for construction materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
2. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels.
- Regularly conduct inventory checks to assess stock levels and reorder as necessary.
3. Delivery Coordination & Communication:
- Schedule and coordinate the delivery of materials to construction sites.
- Communicate delivery schedules to construction teams and address any delays or issues.
4. Quality Control:
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues with delivered materials.
- Document and report any defects or substandard items.
5. Organizational Support:
- Assist in the organization and storage of materials on construction sites.
- Coordinate with site personnel to ensure proper handling and distribution of materials.
6. Other Skills:
- Basic painting, ceiling grid installation, minor carpentry, and demo skills.
Physical Requirements:
This role may require the ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks associated with construction activities.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree or relevant certifications in facility management or a related field is a plus.
· Familiarity with maintenance software and tools.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
· Applicant will be required to pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) review conducted by our insurance company prior to being hired.
