The Water Mitigation Technician plays a critical front-line role, responding to emergency property damage caused by water. Working as part of a field team, the Technician is responsible for stabilizing the situation, preserving property, and delivering excellent service to customers during stressful events. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on technical abilities, and a customer-first mindset.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to emergency service calls including water extraction and property stabilization.
- Protect and preserve customer property using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
- Set up, monitor, and break down drying equipment per IICRC standards.
- Maintain clean and organized vehicles, tools, and workspaces.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, supervisors, and teammates on the scope of work and next steps.
- Document job progress with photos, notes, and moisture readings in the company’s systems.
- Assist with demolition and controlled removal of affected building materials when needed.
- Follow job site instructions with minimal supervision while remaining flexible and adaptable.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications
- 1 years of experience in restoration, construction, facilities, or related field preferred (we’re willing to train the right candidate).
- IICRC certification(s) a plus (WRT, FSRT, AMRT).
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
- Able to lift 50 lbs, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Comfortable using mobile devices and software for inventory management.
