What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Coordinator position at cPort Credit Union?
cPort is seeking a Community Coordinator to engage with the Maine community on behalf of cPort Credit Union by building relationships with local partners, organizing and attending events, and managing our annual sponsorship and donations calendar. By actively participating in outreach, this person strengthens cPort’s community presence. This role also collaborates with our six branches and staff to support organizational and operational cohesiveness. This position will report to the Manager of Marketing.
Essential Duties:
- Manage cPort’s annual contributions calendar and maintain database organization names as well as sponsorship and donation amounts.
- Manage incoming sponsorship and donation requests by gathering and communicating information to the CEO and leading review meetings.
- Represents the organization at community events including partner and sponsorship events, award ceremonies and financial industry events
- Cultivate valued relationships with local community partners.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to provide community partners with branding items needed for partnerships (logos, colors, digital assets, etc.).
- Coordinate community events by submitting payments, registering attendees, organizing giveaway items, and communicating event details to employees.
- Coordinate all aspects of internal and external promotional giveaways, including ticket and information distribution
- Manage all aspects of the employee community event requirement
- Direct, manage and implement cPort’s Career Aspirations Program and Member Appreciation events.
- Collaborate with marketing team to post photos and blogs about community initiatives and events
- Supports marketing department as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or relatable experience in community role.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Problem-solving abilities and leadership skills are also important.
- Comfortable working across multiple departments and with external vendors.
- Ability to organize and attend events outside of work hours.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
