Serving in a leadership capacity, those in this role assume full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating a wide range of engineering assignments, providing expert insight to team members to ensure effective execution through all project phases. Reporting to a Principal, the Sr. Engineering Project Manager plans and develops complex engineering projects of various sizes. Providing oversight and project management to our agile teams, your core competencies include distributing resources; managing and estimating budgets; supervising team members; and establishing, maintaining and fostering relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Your expertise encompasses design for large and complex projects, and your technical skill enables you to efficiently oversee a multitude of assignments at any one time.

- You earned a BS (and/or MS) in civil engineering from an accredited institution and have at least twelve (12) years of related work experience – or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional licensure (PE) is preferred
- Thorough understanding of current trends and areas of growth within the civil engineering industry
- Deep expertise in your design specialty
- Ability to foster a creative design environment
- Strong communication skills, (both wr itten and verbal)
- Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the building design environment
- Strong computer skills in the software needed for design as well as Microsoft Office suite of programs
- You have previous leadership experience, having worked to identify thoughtful solutions to complicated design problems
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and juggle critical tasks, seeing them through to completion design problems
- Oversee all aspects of concurrent design and construction projects
- Preplan and determine funding avenues for projects by collaborating with clients, consultants and agencies
- Develop project scopes and objectives and coordinate all efforts – administrative and technical – to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
- Attend, participate in and lead client vision sessions
- Develop new client relationships and work proactively to enhance existing partnerships
- Assist the marketing team in the development of project proposals, as well as efforts to grow the business
- Manage or oversee overall project schedules and budgets
- Provide management of internal finances , which include billing, invoice generation and asset/resource allocation
- Perform quality assurance/control on other's work, verifying methodolog ies, calculations, outcomes, etc.
- Keep abreast of new scientific methods and developments affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes
- Supervisory requirements, including recruitment and retention of talent including:
- Engage and foster the growth of CPL team members. Provide encouragement and regular feedback; and serve as a mentor/example for all levels of the team.
- Manage/oversee career conversations with your team on an established schedule (annual career conversations, regular check-ins, and the development of career plans for each team member)
- Develop future leaders within the organization (train your replacement)
- Engage, motivate, and lead internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and plans to move the organization in the desired direction.
- Influence people through effective communication
- Promote justice, diversity and fairness in the organization
Salary : $108,000 - $135,000
