PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
CPKC is the only truly North American railway, connecting Canada, the U.S., and Mexico across a 20,000-mile network. We move the goods that keep economies running — and we’re looking for a Senior Manager Track to help keep our infrastructure strong, safe, and reliable. This is a high-impact leadership role with real influence over how we operate and grow. This position can be based within the Quad Cities subdivision; in Clinton IA, Davenport IA, Dubuque, IA, Mason City IA, Marquette, IA, Muscatine, IA and/or Savanna, IL
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Medical and Drug Testing
This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company or regulated drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
Background Investigation
As an employee with a North American presence, the possibility does exist that the location of your position may be changed based on organizational requirements.
Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead emergency response and seasonal readiness across your territory
- Deliver safety, compliance, service, and financial results
- Investigate train accidents and infrastructure damage with full regulatory alignment
- Contribute to annual and multi-year capital planning
- Achieve target safety, compliance, service and financial objectives while identifying and promoting process improvements
- Coach direct reports to improve effectiveness, implementing performance plans and support career development
- Ensure all work practices are consisent with estaiblished labor agreements, promoting fair and compliant workforce management
- Develop and execute annual safety plans that protect people and assets
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or general equivalency
- 5 years of progressive railroad experience, with proven track recording in leading and managing complex projects
- 5 years of experience in railway infrastructure, including track and structures renewal, maintenance and construction
- Comprehensive knowledge of collective bargaining agreements
- Strong understanding of financial principles and project planning
- Proven leadership skillset in operational environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively under pressure
