As an Equipment Operator, you will efficiently manage and operate essential machinery, such as forklifts and knuckle booms, to support railway systems and plant operations. Your expertise is vital in handling track materials, bridges, and key components, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely project delivery. Working under moderate supervision, you’ll consistently uphold the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: Safely loads, unloads, and transports materials within the plant, ensuring high-quality handling and zero damage Execute tasks such as receiving, transferring materials to the separator, operating booms, transitioning materials from the stacker to the drying yard, relocating tram lines, and loading rail cars Conduct preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and promptly informs the maintenance team of any identified issues. Management Conductor Program Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
