What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at CPI?
What You'll Do
As a Carpenter, you'll perform a wide variety of construction, renovation, and repair work, including:
- Rough and finish carpentry
- Framing, drywall installation, taping, texturing, and repair
- Installation of doors, windows, trim, cabinets, and hardware
- Flooring, siding, and finish work
- Tenant improvements and commercial remodels
- Decks, Siding
- Residential repairs and property renovations
- Fire, water, and general damage restoration
- Demolition and reconstruction
- Reading blueprints and construction drawings
- Working with electricians, plumbers, painters, and other trades
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe job sites
- What We're Looking For
- The ideal candidate will have:
- 2–5 years of carpentry experience (preferred)
- Experience with residential and commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and accurately measure and layout projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills
Requirements
- Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely operate power tools and construction equipment
- Preferred QualificationsFirst Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience with insurance restoration projects
- Experience with occupied residential maintenance
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Experience using AppFolio or similar work order software is a plus
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
