About the Role
We are seeking a senior‑level Public Safety Monitoring Automation Engineer to support and automate a large‑scale 911 Public Safety infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring secure, compliant, and uninterrupted operations across thousands of endpoints supporting NYPD, FDNY, EMS, and related agencies.
The engineer will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BMC TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic), BMC Client Management, and BMC Discovery, with responsibility for patching, automation, compliance, and vulnerability remediation across Windows and Linux environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain BMC TrueSight Server Automation (BladeLogic) and BMC Discovery (ADDM) environments
- Plan, schedule, deploy, and report enterprise‑wide server and endpoint patching
- Coordinate critical call‑taker workstation patching without operational impact
- Support Public Safety 911 enterprise monitoring infrastructure
- Automate discovery and configuration of 2,000 nodes
- Standardize OS deployments and bare‑metal provisioning
- Establish configuration baselines, governance, and compliance
- Partner with Security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and respond to zero‑day threats
- Integrate discovered assets with BMC Remedy CMDB
Mandatory Qualifications (Screening Criteria)

- 12 years of overall engineering experience
- 10 years hands‑on experience with BMC automation toolsets
- Expert‑level experience with:
- BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA / BladeLogic)
- Server patching & lifecycle management
- Windows & Linux environments
- Strong automation and scripting expertise:
- PowerShell
- Bash / Shell
- Python
- BMC Client Management (BCM) administration
- BMC Discovery (ADDM) operations
- BMC Remedy CMDB asset and CI management

- PXE / OSD
