We’re expanding our Land Development team in Tampa and looking for a Stormwater-focused Project Manager who’s ready to take ownership of meaningful projects and play a key role in shaping communities across Florida.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex drainage and water quality challenges. You will serve as a technical leader in stormwater design across a wide range of land development projects, guiding projects from concept through permitting and construction while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the stormwater design and permitting efforts for land development projects including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Design and oversee stormwater management systems including detention/retention ponds, conveyance systems, water quality treatment, and flood control solutions.
  • Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses, drainage studies, and watershed modeling.
  • Navigate local, state, and federal stormwater regulations, including permitting requirements (ERP, NPDES, etc.).
  • Collaborate with civil design teams to integrate grading, utilities, and stormwater systems into cohesive site designs.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for stormwater across multiple projects.
  • Prepare and review drainage reports, calculations, and technical documentation for agency submittals.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and municipalities to support permitting and approvals.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources related to stormwater scope.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team.
  • Identify project risks and develop innovative, cost-effective stormwater solutions

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 8–15 years of experience, with a strong emphasis on stormwater and drainage design for land development projects.
  • Proven experience leading stormwater permitting and design efforts.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain quickly.
Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) and stormwater system design.
  • Strong working knowledge of stormwater regulations and permitting processes.
  • Experience with modeling software such as ICP RAS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for drainage and site design integration.
  • Familiarity with water quality treatment design and BMPs (Best Management Practices).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.
