Position Overview
A growing, established ingredient manufacturer is seeking a Regional Quality Assurance Manager to provide quality leadership across multiple Midwest manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring products meet food safety, regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards while developing high-performing quality teams and driving continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have significant Food & Beverage manufacturing or dietary supplement experience within an FDA-regulated environment and a strong background leading quality across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop regional Quality Assurance teams across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, HACCP, SQF, food safety, sanitation, and internal quality standards.
- Drive consistent quality systems, processes, and best practices across facilities.
- Lead root-cause investigations, CAPAs, corrective actions, and preventive improvements.
- Oversee internal audit programs and support customer and regulatory audits.
- Monitor and improve key quality metrics including complaints, first-pass quality, compliance, inventory health, sanitation, and CAPA effectiveness.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, Production, Commercial, and Operational Excellence teams.
- Support commercialization and new product, process, and equipment launches.
- Assess and mitigate food safety, regulatory, operational, and cost risks.
- Develop and deliver food safety and quality training programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
- 10 years of Quality Assurance experience within Food & Beverage, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical, medical device, or another FDA-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of FDA, HACCP, SQF, and food safety best practices.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring quality teams.
- Strong root-cause analysis, CAPA, audit, and continuous-improvement experience.
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, R&D, and production teams.
- Multi-site Quality leadership experience is highly desirable.
- PCQI experience is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; visa sponsorship is not available.
Ideal Background
The strongest candidates will have progressive Quality leadership experience in Food & Beverage manufacturing, ideally with exposure to other functions such as Production or R&D. Experience overseeing Quality across multiple manufacturing facilities is a plus.
