Role Description
The Field Service Supervisor will oversee and coordinate field service operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer support and satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing and supervising the field service team, troubleshooting equipment issues, ensuring timely completion of service tasks, and maintaining open communication with both clients and internal teams. The role also involves prioritizing safety, operational efficiency, and quality service delivery.
Duties
- Lead and supervise field service personnel and subcontractors.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and start-up of equipment at customer facilities.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to sell additional parts and services.
- Support order processing, special-order quotations, and communicate pricing/lead times to customers.
- Perform testing and pre-shipment quality control on manufactured equipment.
- Verify customer credit status for rush orders and maintain accurate records of orders, changes, and shipments.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for customer service and operational concerns.
- Travel domestically and internationally (50% ), including potential weekends and overtime.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Two (2) or more years of relevant hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and field service.
- Basic knowledge of electrical schematics, PC troubleshooting, and hand tools.
- Strong hands-on technical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in variable environments.
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively, including international trips.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
