We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Clerk at our Tonawanda, NY location. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for receiving, shipping, storing and distributing material, equipment and products within the facility, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Clerk at our Tonawanda, NY location. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for receiving, shipping, storing and distributing material, equipment and products within the facility, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Responsibilities
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders
- Read work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
- File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or fabrication department.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Open bales, crates and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate ERP system.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
- Prepare parcels for mailing.
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervision
- Safety and housekeeping
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- One year prior warehouse clerk experience
- SYTELINE ERP Experience is a plus
- Develop professional and process expertise to provide improved assistance to internal and external customers;
- Knowledge of the workplace safety system;
- Able to work under little supervision;
- Understands and able to utilize mathematical formulas required to perform job.
- Able to use a level and tape measures;
- Knowledge of general manufacturing safety rules; proper use and handling of job related safety equipment;
- Able to safely operate forklift and overhead crane;
- Able to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions;
- Demonstrates team building, problem solving, communication, time management skills;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
