What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at CPEG Carrier Process Equipment Group?
The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing accounting support to the Finance leadership team. Provides support by researching and analyzing accounting records, preparing general ledger journal entries in accordance with GAAP, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and financial analysis/reports for 5 operating companies.
Responsibilities
- Performs duties and responsibilities in compliance with CPEG Buffalo’s accounting procedures;
- Monthly accounting; closing of ledgers and subledgers;
- Prepare reconciliation/schedules for balance sheet accounts;
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data;
- Analyze monthly and quarterly financial results;
- Prepare financial budgets and forecasts;
- Analysis and explanation of budget vs. actual variances;
- Preparation of responses to year-end audit requests.
Qualifications
- 3 years' of professional accounting experience;
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience; Bachelors preferred;
- Experience with Syteline ERP system preferred;
- Manufacturing experience preferred;
- Experience with financial budgeting and forecasting preferred;
- Experience with state sales tax reporting and compliance preferred.
Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
